Good Lord, another NBA team is interested in Zeke?

Isiah Thomas, we all watched as you went down in flames and took the New York Knick franchise with you. So that’s why we figured that when you took the Florida International job, you were just looking for a cushion, you know, a steady paycheck and a dental plan to hold you over until something better came along.

Fan favorite Zeke Thomas
Personally, I was thinking that the something better for Zeke would be a higher profile college coaching job. I could see a Big 10 or Big East school possibly rolling the dice on the guy. But I certainly didn’t believe he could get himself back into the NBA. Hell, before today, I would have thought John Edwards had a better chance of getting back with Elizabeth than Thomas had of getting back into the Association.
So color me as extremely surprised when I read a report saying that an NBA franchise is actually considering bringing Zeke aboard as coach and president. What kind of nutcase would even consider this?
A nutcase like Clippers owner Donald Sterling, that’s who. Like Thomas, Sterling happens to be a sleazebag of the highest order, so maybe that’s the attraction.
While Isiah can simultaneously ruin a franchise AND harass its female employees, Sterling pays multi-million dollar penalties because he doesn’t want African-Americans or Hispanics living in his Southern California rental properties. Damn, these two d-bags are made for each other!
How much further into the ground can Sterling drive this franchise? Seriously, he’s already turned the Clippers into the sporting world’s most reliable non-contender not named the Pittsburgh Pirates. If he hires Zeke, the team can start approaching lows only seen by the likes of the ‘76 Buccaneers and the ‘72-’73 Sixers.
