Jacory Harris turns down the heat on what The Rock is cooking

September 8, 2010 by John Stansberry

As Miami inches closer to relevancy following the death spiral that was the last portion of Larry Coker’s tenure (followed by the first couple years of Randy Shannon’s tenure), this week’s road tilt with #2 Ohio State has taken on extra significance with followers of the U.

A win over the Buckeyes would propel the 12th ranked ‘Canes pretty damn close to the top five of the polls. So is it any wonder that distinguished Miami alumni such as The Rock have weighed in with their opinions? He took time out from making crappy family movies to tell the SportsByBrooks.com the following:

With that kind of bravado coming from ex-’Canes, Miami quarterback Jacory Harris felt the need to weigh in on Twitter with the following:

He also got with Steve Gorten of the Sun-Sentinel to give his thoughts on what beating Ohio State would mean for he and his teammates:

“Saturday will be part of the process and it is a big game, so it’s going to help us move forward into the season and give us that extra motivation to win more games. Because if we come up with this one, that sets the standards for the rest of the season. It lets us know that we are ready to face the top teams in the nation. I think we are mentally prepared and ready and focused going into this game.” (Sun-Sentinel)

Is there a cooler customer than Harris in college football right now? I don’t think so.
