Twitter fun with the Auburn football team

January 7, 2011 by John Stansberry

So last night I noticed the following tweet from Auburn wide receiver Terrell Zachery:

Confirmation of the team’s plans were provided by Nick Fairley:

If you’re not familiar with the concept of a Brazilian steakhouse, let me get you up to speed.  First off, it’s got a GIGANTIC salad bar that you may or may not partake in.  At your table, you’re given a card, one side of which is red and one side of which is green.  If the card is flipped to the green side, a parade of servers will come by with skewers of every meat imaginable and ask you if you want a slab cut off onto your plate.

This concept is basically an all you can eat meat lovers paradise that can put you into a coma if you’re not careful.  And I can’t imagine the amount of food that an entire college football team could consume at one of these places.  In fact, I would venture to guess that Auburn’s players might be a step slow for a day or two.

Aside from sharing the dinner plans of his team, Fairley also had the following exchange on Twitter with some butthurt Georgia fan named Chris Medeiros.  Apparently, Chris still can’t get over the fact that Fairley damn near killed Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray:

To this tweet, Fairley had the following reply:

I gotta say point to Fairley on this one.  It is Twitter after all, with its 140 character per message limit.  If you can get your point across with as few letters as possible then that’s what you do.  But hey, when you’re butthurt, it’s hard to grasp the obvious.
