USC athletic director Pat Haden wants to take out the chill bro trash

So here’s the skinny from Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times regarding a summit taking place at Southern Cal today:
USC, which has been trying to be proactive in efforts to repair its sullied image in the face of NCAA sanctions, will play host to a conference Tuesday at the Galen Center aimed at fostering a better understanding about issues regarding agents.
The invitation-only event, an “Agent Awareness, Education and Eligibility Summit,” will bring together representatives from the NCAA, the Pacific 10 Conference, the Southeastern Conference, the NFL, the NFL Players Assn. and several agents, according to a Monday news release from USC.
The meeting appears to be the latest move by USC to demonstrate to the NCAA that it has adopted the “culture of compliance” that Pat Haden pledged when he succeeded Mike Garrett as the school’s athletic director last August. (Los Angeles Times)
Translation: Haden is waging war on chill bro sports agents on his own campus. He’s basically become Dean Wormer to Teague Egan’s Otter.
I can only hope that some sort of guide, perhaps entitled “How to identify a chill bro sports agent in your student body,” is a product of this summit. Some of its content might be along the lines of the following:
If you see an undergrad dressed like this:

And driving something like this:

Then keep him away from these:

Apparently, Haden and his bosses at USC aren’t just concerned with weeding out the chill bro agents who’ve already enrolled. Judging from the new USC undergraduate application, they’re trying to weed them out before they ever get accepted:
