YouTube’s least entertaining video is dedicated to Jose Cruz Jr.

Believe it or not, there are literally hundreds of videos on YouTube featuring people opening up packs of baseball cards. I’m not a religious viewer of these videos, but they do exist, which only reinforces my belief that people really will tape damn near anything and upload it to the interweb.
While it’s kind of interesting to see a guy tear open a pack that reveals a Cal Ripken autograph that’s serial numbered 1 out of 5, at the end of the day it’s still a video of a guy opening up a pack of baseball cards. In the realm of YouTube, this is about 50 levels below the Numa Numa guy in terms of entertainment value.
I wonder if this serves as some sort of odd porn for guys who are hard core collectors. Somewhere, some poor woman might be on the verge of walking into her husband’s study and catching him flogging his dolphin to a video of a guy whose pack contained a sweet Stephen Strasburg rookie card.
When it comes to these pack opening videos, I think I’ve found the most pointless one of all. Here’s a dude videotaping himself opening a box of JOSE CRUZ JR. cards that he got in the mail. Not Rickey Henderson, not Albert Pujols, not even Adam Dunn. JOSE CRUZ JR. Hell, the tape used to seal the box is probably worth more than the cards inside. Silly you, thinking Jose’s only fan was his dad:
